Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Even though our celebrations may be different this year, the sentiment stays the same.
The first time I heard this Irish Blessing sung was by the Lake Highland Preparatory School’s girls chorus in Orlando, Florida. It was my first year teaching, and I believe they closed a school-wide assembly with this song. I can still hear the angelic voices in my mind. Throughout my years of teaching there, I was able to hear this Irish Blessing sung many times. My mom also had this blessing hung on a plaque in our home as you entered our foyer. I now have it at my home, waiting to be hung in my foyer.
