If you enjoy fiction paired with a little romance and mystery, then Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner is the book for you! I really enjoyed this book, especially the mystery part. Big Summer was a May Book of the Month choice, as well as a Spivey’s Club pick for that month. It is the perfect book for summer reading!
Daphne Berg, a plus-size social media influencer, and her friend, Drue Cavanaugh, have been estranged for a number of years. When Drue asks Daphne to be in her wedding party, she is shocked. Daphne accepts, even though she is wary, and plans to incorporate her influencer job with the beautiful Cape Code wedding setting. The book shockingly turns into a different genre. Told from the point of view of Daphne (who is quite funny), the book speaks a lot about body image, the life of an influencer, and friendship.
