Today I’m sharing my last, now, and next reads!
LAST—Appropriately named, my last read was The Last Flight by Julie Clark. It is a Book of the Month selection for June and a Spivey’s Club pick. The novel is a thriller about two women who want to escape their pasts. It is a “I can’t put you down” type of book. I will have the full review soon!
NOW—At this time I am reading The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. It is Barnes & Noble’s June pick, as well as a Book of the Month, and GMA’s Book Club selection. The hype is real on this book. This coming-of-age novel is about two black twin sisters who leave home. One returns, and the other makes a life secretly passing for white. This book is so engaging! I’m excited to read more of it today!
NEXT—The next book I’m going to read is One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London. This is Ms. Stayman-London’s debut novel. It is a Book of the Month pick and is a Spivey’s Club selection, too. It is a romance novel about plus-sized model Bea Schumacher. She is approached to do the Main Squeeze show, a reality show that resembles The Bachelor/The Bachelorette. It sounds like a fun read and has gotten great reviews!
