All Adults Here by Emma Straub was a selection for Book of the Month, Read With Jenna, and Barnes & Noble Bookclub. It is a domestic fiction story that centers around widow, Astrid Strick, and her relationships with her three adult children, Elliot, Porter, and Nicky. Each child is going through their own personal predicaments, and Astrid is dealing with her own life changes. She struggles when she looks back on her life and begins to doubt that she was an effective mother for her children. The bright spot in the book is Astrid’s granddaughter, Cecilia, who, through circumstances, comes to live with her. This book deals with a realm of social issues, which at times, could become a bit daunting to the reader.
