Book Review—Cock & Bull by Laura Barnard

Cock & Bull by Laura Barnard is an adorable romantic comedy set in Ireland.  Sisters Phoebe and Ella Bellerose leave England for Ireland when they inherit a pub, Cock & Bull, from their long-lost aunt, Aunt Breda.  When they get there, they find the pub is in shambles.  Not only that, there is another pub in town to compete with that has a gruff owner.  When Clooney Breen arrives on the scene to help run the pub in exchange for room and board, things are better for a time.  But, even with Clooney’s help, the pub continues to have struggles.

This book is a fun read.  I read it in two nights and could not wait to see what would happen.  There are scenes that are hysterical, along with chemistry between Breen and Phoebe.  Phoebe also inherits more than just a pub, which makes for an interesting twist to the story.  If you want a fun, light-hearted romance to read, Cock & Bull is the book for you.

It is available for free to read with Kindle Unlimited and is available for purchase on Amazon in Kindle and paperback forms.  It is also available at Barnes & Noble.

In addition, Laura Barnard has written many other books.  Two I want to read are Once Upon a Wish-mas and Sex, Snow, and Mistletoe.
