Fig and Goat Cheese Appetizer

 I love simple, but delicious appetizers.  This appetizer meets all of those requirements!  

Fig and Goat Cheese Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • 2 - 8 ounce packages of black mission figs, washed and drained.
  • 1 - 8 ounce log of goat cheese
  • 1 or 2 packages of gluten-free crackers of your choice [I used Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers (Sea Salt)]
  • Balsamic glaze to taste
Directions:
  1. Spread goat cheese on crackers.
  2. Slice figs and place on top of goat cheese.
  3. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the appetizer.
  4. Serve.
I served the appetizer with Indaba Sauvignon Blanc wine.  Any Sauvignon Blanc would nicely pair with the figs and goat cheese.  This is a nice, light appetizer, perfect for an outdoor setting. Enjoy!
