Book Review—Whitehall Baby by Laura Barnard

I just finished Laura Barnard’s new novel, Whitehall Baby. I really loved this book. It is the perfect chick-lit romance. Some of the scenes are just hysterical!

Charlotte Bellswain is an aspiring fashion designer. Arthur Ellison works as the Cabinet Secretary to the Prime Minister. The two of them come from completely different backgrounds. Charlotte attends an awards ceremony with her best friend, Eloise. There she meets extremely attractive Arthur. They see each other a few more times and a couple months later, Charlotte discovers she is going to have a baby. She freaks!

This romance is about how these two people, who are so different, try to navigate an unplanned pregnancy. They are not even sure if they care for one another, or do they? Charlotte finds out that Arthur is a workaholic. She becomes a personal assistant to have a more stable income for the baby, as she plans to be a single mom. Or will she be a single mom?

Whitehall Baby is a face-paced novel and was just a delightful and funny read. Laura Barnard develops her characters so well that you feel like you know them personally.

Thanks to Amazon Bestselling Author Laura Barnard for sending me an ARC of Whitehall Baby in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend that you read this humorous, quirky, yet serious love story, Whitehall Baby.
