Book Review—Yoga Pant Nation by Laurie Gelman

I loved Yoga Pant Nation by Laurie Gelman! In fact I loved the entire series of books beginning with Class Mom and You’ve Been Volunteered. I actually won this copy of Yoga Pant Nation in a Goodreads Giveaway! I was thrilled to get a copy because I definitely wanted to read the third book in Ms. Gelman’s series.

Yoga Pant Nation, like the previous books, features Jen Dixon, whose attire of choice these days are yoga pants. Jen’s youngest son, Max, is now a big fifth grader and Jen is class mom. This book is hilarious, as were all of the previous books. Jen is the chairman of  the PTA fundraiser this year to raise a staggering amount of money, and aptly names the committee WeFUKCT (We Fundraise Until Kingdom Come Team.) She is a busy mom with her three children, grandchild, a new job, aging parents, and of course her class mom duties.

I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy

  • Laugh out loud humor
  • Can relate to a school setting (are/were a teacher/class mom)
  • Are a mom/grandma juggling a million things
As a former teacher who had many class moms, I really enjoyed this series and Yoga Pant Nation. I loved the character Jen Dixon and will miss her class mom emails to the parents!

Yoga Pant Nation is available for pre-order anywhere you buy books. It will be out on July 13, 2021!
