Author Jeremy Ray asked me to read and review his short story, The House Plant, and I’m so happy he did. I loved this story. Reading it was forty minutes of pure bliss. The House Plant is a heartwarming story about the friendship between George, a fern, and Brenda, his owner. The story is told from the point of view of George. I really connected with this story on many levels, especially with the way George handles his grief. Just know that when you finish the story, you will feel uplifted. I will never look at plants the same way again. And, I guarantee, if your plants need to be watered, when you finish the story, you will fill your watering can and will delight in watering them.
