Book Review—Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty

Nine strangers make their way to a health retreat at Tranquillum House for a host of different reasons. The programs of exercise, healthy food, and spa treatments become absurdly mad when owner, Masha, starts to break some of her own rules.

Nine Perfect Strangers can be hilarious at times, especially the parts with my favorite character, Frances, a twice-divorced romance writer. It can also bring up raw emotions, especially the grief that characters Heather, Zoe, and Napoleon are experiencing. The nine strangers begin to bond over the 10-day retreat, especially when Masha begins to crack her icy exterior.

I haven’t watched the series on Hulu, but plan to do so. I can definitely see Nicole Kidman playing Masha and Melissa McCarthy playing Frances. I’m excited to watch the series and compare it to the book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Other books I have read by Liane Moriarty include:
