Book Review—Jingle Bell Jam by Pamela Kelley

Jingle Bell Jam by Pamela Kelley is a sweet, holiday romance. Bryan Baker hurts his back and is advised by his doctor-brother, Clint, to lose a few pounds. Bryan joins the new fitness center at River’s End Ranch and meets Melanie, his fitness instructor, who is new to town. They become fast friends when Melanie hires Bryan to be the contractor on the new home she wants to build. Although they find each other interesting and attractive, they don’t “date” because of the “rule” about dating clients at the fitness center and Bryan’s own self-imposed rule about dating clients. However, the annual Jingle Bell Jam, a charity event, is coming soon and Bryan and Melanie go to it together on a non-date.

Jingle Bell Jam is set in Riston, a small town in Idaho. What I enjoyed is the author built a sense of community in the story by having the characters work at a food pantry and hand out turkeys with all of the fixings at Christmas. Add in a blizzard, the town diner, a jealous ex, and some raspberry recipes at the end of the book, and you have the makings of a delightful Christmas book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Pamela Kelley has written numerous novels. There are many more novels in her River’s End Ranch series. Jingle Bell Jam can be read as a stand alone novel.
