Book Review—Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens

Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens is such a sweet, lighthearted, and humorous romance story. It was published in November of 2021 and I listened to the audiobook.

Main character Laura LeQuesne is a writer and host for Love Life, which focuses on Meet Cute stories. Laura wants to feature her parents, now deceased, own love story. She obtains permission from her boss to travel to the Channel Islands where her parents met and wants to recreate their epic love story based on her photos, recollections, and interviews she hopes to obtain from relatives who still live on the island. In the midst of that, Laura feels that life is passing her by in that she has no love story of her own.

Once she arrives at her hotel, she finds that she has the wrong luggage. When she opens it, she realizes it is a man’s luggage and is hoping that it belongs to the handsome guy she met on her flight. (A humorous scene!) Now Laura has to find the man, not only because she assumes he has her baggage, but because she is so intrigued by him.

There is much more to this story than meets the eye. It is very funny, but also delves into the fact that sometimes we put our hopes and dreams into things that might not be exactly what we thought they would be.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
