One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid was published in June of 2016. It is an unique love story that will stir the reader’s emotions. I listened to the audiobook. It was narrated by the outstanding Julia Whelan.
The book focuses on the life of Emma Blair. Her family owns a successful bookstore in their community and while in high school she works there part-time. She finds the work tedious because she has other hopes and dreams for her life.
Emma and her high school boyfriend, Jesse, both have the same dream of getting far away from their homes in Massachusetts. After graduation they both go to college in California.
One True Loves explores Emma and Jesse’s relationship, along with a major event that interrupts their idyllic life. This book makes one think about choices that are made in life and their consequences. Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing is phenomenal as the characters find themselves and true love.
I highly recommend One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid. A movie version based on the book will be released sometime in 2022.
