In a New York Minute by Kate Spencer came highly recommended by Ashley Spivey of Spivey’s Book Club, the online book club I belong to on Facebook and Instagram. I listened to the audiobook and both narrators were excellent.
This is a light and sweet “meet-cute” book. Franny Doyle and Hayes Montgomery III meet in a hilarious way on a subway in New York. Their meeting actually goes viral when someone videos the situation on their phone. Obviously, the book is set in New York City, and the city almost becomes a character. The couple’s escapades take the reader through Manhattan, as well as Brooklyn.
If you love New York City, humorous and romantic fiction, this debut novel is written for you!
