Book Review—The Sign for Home by Blair Fell

The Sign for Home by Blair Fell is such a delightful book. I enjoyed the audiobook, which was narrated by the author. The book is a coming-of-age story along with a touch of romance. The main character is 23-year-old Arlo, who is DeafBlind. Arlo has led a sheltered life, but when he gets a new interpreter, Cyril, Arlo begins to see new possibilities for himself.

The bonus with this book is that you, the reader, will learn so much about the DeafBlind community. It will open your eyes to the challenges they face with the differing ASL interpreting styles and their needs for technology and transportation.

The Sign for Home will make you laugh and cry. The author, Blair Fell, is a writer, actor, producer, director and has also been an ASL interpreter for the Deaf since 1993. No wonder the novel is so beautifully written.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
