The Impossible Us by Sarah Lotz is one of the best books I have read (I listened to the audiobook) this year! Published in March of 2022, The Impossible Us is a delightful blend of romance with magical realism. I’m not going to spoil this book for you at all. I feel it is best to read The Impossible Us and not know much about the plot, other than there is a huge twist (with tiny clues, that you may or may not pick up on at first glance). I will say that the main characters, Bee and Nick, are well-developed by the author. They are flawed, but not too flawed. They are real with each other. The book is so engaging; I could not stop listening to it at all! The ending is perfection. The Impossible Us is a book that will stay with you for a long time. I still think about it from time to time.
