Book Review—She Wouldn’t Change a Thing by Sarah Adlakha

She Wouldn’t Change a Thing by Sarah Adlakha is a powerful debut novel. It was published in August, 2021. Maria Forssmann, a thirty-nine-year-old psychiatrist is happily married with her daughters and a son on the way. Soon after meeting with a patient, Maria mysteriously wakes up in her childhood home at the age of seventeen.

This time travel book works! It can be a bit complicated at times, especially when new characters are introduced, but hang in there. It all makes sense in the end. I listened to the audiobook, and the narration by Cassandra Campbell was excellent.

This is a book about fulfilling your purpose, making difficult choices, and the love of family. It is well-written and thought-provoking.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Midnight on the Marne, Sarah Adlakha’s newest novel, is available now. It is definitely on my reading list.
