Book Review—Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

I was so excited when Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow was a Book of the Month selection in July of 2022. It is a fantastic novel and one of my favorites of this year.

Gabrielle Zevin has written an adventure fiction novel that spans over thirty years of the life of the two main characters, Sam Masur and Sadie Green. Sam and Sadie began as childhood friends. They are both brilliant and love playing video games together as children. The reader becomes engrossed in their world, especially when they become young adults and start working together. This novel will definitely appeal to gamers, especially if you grew up in the 1980’s when games began. Remember Oregon Trail? Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow will have you laughing, as well as crying. It is such a creative novel with a magnificent plot and well-developed characters. It is not a love story in the conventional way, but the book instead focuses on deep friendships. The author has painstakingly researched video games for the novel, and her knowledge of gaming makes the book incredible to read. Also, you don’t have to be a big gamer to enjoy the book. I’m not a big gamer at all, but I absolutely loved the book because of the characters.

I highly recommend Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.
