Book Review—Smells Like Tween Spirit by Laurie Gelman

Smells Like Tween Spirit by Laurie Gelman continues the hilarious, yet heartfelt life of Jen Dixon. Even though this is the 4th book in the Class Mom series, this novel could be read as a stand alone. However, after reading Smells Like Tween Spirit as a stand alone, you would most likely be motivated to read the entire series!

In this book, Jen Dixon is now a “mat mom” since her son, Max, is a member of the Pioneer Middle School Wrestling Team (PMS). This book also follows Vivs’ and Laura’s, Jen’s daughters, new venture. And, as always, Jen has a lot on her plate caring for her aging parents.

I loved this novel. It was hilarious, but also touched on many of the emotions moms feel trying to juggle work, kids, extracurriculars, and parents. If you are a wrestling mom, you will really love this book!

Thank you to Henry Holt and Company for sending me this copy of Smells Like Tween Spirit.
