The Nature of the Beast is the 11th book in Louise Penny’s Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series. I listened to the audiobook. The first ten audiobooks were narrated by Ralph Cosham, “the voice of Armand Gamache.” Sadly, he passed away in 2014. The Nature of the Beast is the first book narrated by Robert Bathurst of Downton Abbey fame. He is a remarkable narrator, and I enjoyed his interpretation.
A young boy, Laurent, goes missing in the woods of Three Pines. Gamache helps Isabelle Lacoste, now Chief Inspector and Jean Guy, her second in command with this “monster” of a case.

A World of Curiosities by Louise Penny, will be released on November 29th. It is the 18th book in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series. I now have 7 books to read before I am caught up with the series!
