Book Review—The Night Shift by Alex Finlay

The Night Shift by Alex Finlay is one of the best thrillers I have read this year. The novel begins on New Year’s Eve 1999 at a Blockbuster video store. Talk about bringing back memories! However, there is a tragedy on the “night shift” at the Blockbuster that evening, with one survivor. Fifteen years later there is a similar tragedy at an ice cream shop in the same town with, again, one survivor.

The second tragedy brings together the two survivors, the brother of the fugitive suspect and FBI agent, Sarah Keller. Together they try to solve these crimes.

I couldn’t put down this novel. It is so good! There are so many twists and turns. Alex Finlay is a great writer, and look forward to reading more of his work.
