Wow! How does Louise Penny do this? Each book in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series just keeps getting better and better! A Great Reckoning is the 12th book in the series. In this novel, Armand Gamache has a new job as the leader of the Sûreté Academy that trains cadets. A murder, of course, a mysterious map, and a new cadet named Amelia Choquet make A Great Reckoning a superb mystery. All of the old Three Pine characters are also back in the novel, as well as descriptions of delicious meals at the Bistro.
I have six books to read to be caught up with the series. I think I can do that in 2023. I haven’t watched the Amazon Prime television show Three Pines yet, but it has gotten great reviews. I’ll have to start watching it soon!
