Book Review—Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

I loved Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. The novel is set in the 1960’s when women were not found working in a chemistry lab too often. But when Elizabeth Zott walks into Hastings Research Lab, everything changes. Elizabeth Zott is a dynamic main character! The novel traces Elizabeth’s career path, which has its ups and down. The novel is humorous, unique and has many surprises. I can hardly believe Lessons in Chemistry is Bonnie Garmus’ debut novel, but it is. I’m looking forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Lessons in Chemistry is a Book of the Month selection, is Barnes and Noble’s Book of the Year, is a GMA Book Club selection and is now being made into a series for Apple TV+, which will debut later this year.

I highly recommend Lessons in Chemistry!
