Better Than Fiction by Alexa Martin is a humorous, contemporary romance novel. Main character Drew Young, a photographer, inherits her grandmother’s bookstore. Ironically, Drew is not much of a reader, but she sets aside her photography career to run the Book Nook out of respect for her grandmother’s legacy.
At a book signing event at the Book Nook, Drew meets Jasper Williams, a romance writer. Jasper comes up with a cute idea to foster a love of reading for Drew.
I thought this was a cute romance. I loved the setting of a bookstore and Drew and Jasper were likable characters. Adding some spice to the novel were some meddlesome friends of Drew’s grandmother. I enjoyed reading Better Than Fiction.
