Book Review—Kingdom of the Blind by Louise Penny

How can each book in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series just keep getting better and better? Kingdom of the Blind is the fourteenth book in the series, and I am still looking forward to each new book. I’m now used to Robert Bathurst as the new narrator of the audio version of the novels. He is just fantastic! Of course, Louise Penny is the genius who continues to write her tales of Three Pines with all of our favorite residents.

In Kingdom of the Blind, Armond Gamache continues to be on suspension. However, he soon learns that he, Myrna Landers and a young builder are named executors of a will to a woman they have never met. Along with this storyline, Armond Gamache is also racing to stop the cartel who are spreading opioids in Montreal.

If you are interested in reading the series, start with Still Life by Louise Penny. The series must be read in order because of the sequential storylines. I highly recommend the audio versions of the books. They are excellent!

Happy Reading! 🕵️‍♂️🔍
