Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories is Kelly Ripa’s memoir. It is a collection of stories about her life. Kelly writes of her childhood in New Jersey, her soap life, meeting Mark, having her children, life on Live, and facing the empty nest. I found it humorous and heartfelt. Kelly writes on the front flap of the book that the process of writing Live Wire was one of the hardest things she ever did. She wanted the book to be relatable, and I feel it is. Kelly writes as if you are in the room and she is telling you, the reader, a story. Now along with television actress and talk show host, Kelly can add writer to her credentials. The wisdom with which she writes is a priceless gift to her readers.
