Book Review—Hang the Moon by Jeannette Walls

Hang the Moon appealed to me as a reader because it is set during the turn of the 20th century. It is such a by-gone era, yet so much happened in the early 1900’s. This novel focuses on Sallie Kincaid, a strong female character, who grows up with a larger-than-life father and privilege, only to have it all taken away from her. Of course, Sallie, the force that she is, makes a comeback and delves into the world of Prohibition firsthand.

Hang the Moon is one of my favorite books this year. I could not stop listening to the audiobook! If you enjoy historical fiction, you will enjoy the saga of Sallie Kincaid.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Jeannette Walls also wrote the extremely popular, The Glass Castle and Half Broke Horses.
