Book Review—Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune

Meet Me at the Lake is Carley Fortune’s second novel. In this novel, as with her debut novel, Every Summer After, the lake becomes almost character-like.

Fern Brookbanks (love the last name) meets Will Baxter through friends while visiting Toronto for the day. Will and Fern spend the rest of the day together touring, and it is evident they have chemistry. They decide to meet one year later at Brookbanks Resort, which Fern’s mother owns and runs.

Thus begins this novel with major summertime vibes, love, loss and of course, the lake. Beautifully written, I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
