The Homewreckers by Mary Kay Andrews is a perfect summer beach read. Published in May of 2022, it is part love story, part mystery, and part HGTV-type show. Main character Hattie Kavanaugh started flipping houses for a living after being widowed at a young age. By chance, Hattie is approached to be the lead on an up-coming tv show that flips homes. Paired with a somewhat egocentric co-host, Hattie somehow manages to do a super job as a host. When an item from a missing person is found in the flip house, Hattie becomes personally involved in solving this mystery.
The Homewreckers is such a fun read; it is exactly what a summer read should be! Enjoy!
