Mother-Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon

“I just loved how intriguing the mystery is but also the dynamics between a grandmother, a mother, and a teenage daughter.”
                                     —Reese Witherspoon

Mother-Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon was a Reese’s Book Club pick in September. I love Reese’s quote about the book because I enjoyed the mystery in this book, as well as the multigenerational characters. Lana is the Rubicon family matriarch. She is sidelined with a cancer diagnosis and is staying with her daughter, Beth, for the time being. However, when her granddaughter, Jack, becomes a suspect in a homicide, Lana jumps into action.

This is Nina Simon’s debut novel. It is a fun and entertaining novel, along with being a fantastic whodunnit. I’m looking forward to reading more from her.
