This is a difficult book for me to review. The Page Turner is not a “page turner”, and its slow burn almost caused me to stop reading. But, there is a point in the book where things start moving, and I was glad I stuck with the book. The Page Turner is about Emma, a recent graduate of the University of Michigan. She is an aspiring writer whose parents own a publishing house. You would think that would be great for Emma’s career, but her parents are wrapped up into their own careers and have no time for her. Emma visits her late grandma’s home, whom she was very close to, and discovers a huge family secret. This is where the book starts to ignite into its satisfying ending.
