Book Review—Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

I just finished Get a Life, Chloe Brown for my online book club, #spiveys📚club.  It is the story of  Chloe Brown, a young woman who has many chronic health issues.  She has been a bit of a recluse the past few years dealing with her new normal life of pain.  But, Chloe is determined to get her life back on track.  She makes a list of adventures to complete.  Chloe moves into a new flat away from her family and meets Redford (Red) Morgan.  He is the building superintendent, who is also a gifted painter.  Chloe enlists Red to help her check off some of the things on her list, and in exchange, she builds him a website for his artwork.

This is a book about two people rebuilding their lives.  There is an author’s note at the beginning of the book about the “process of healing after an abusive relationship”.  The communication between Chloe and Red can be hilarious, as well as poignant when it comes to discussing important issues.  This book is also quite steamy.

I love a story about new beginnings and how characters overcome their issues.  Chloe and Red are lovable characters.  If you are like me, you will find yourself rooting for them!
