I began 2020 reading (or actually listening) to the thriller, All the Lovely Pieces, by J.M. Winchester. This is her debut thriller novel. Previously, she wrote romances under the name of Jennifer Snow.
The main character in this novel is Drew Baker. She has been on the run from her abusive husband, Adam, for years after an incident at their home. When Drew left, she also took their son, Michael, with her. Drew finally settled in Liberty, Missouri, thinking it would be a great place to raise Michael.
This novel is told with multiple point of views. It will keep you, as the reader, on the edge of your seat. There are many twists and turns in this novel, and the end leaves you thinking. I recommend this book if you like thrillers. Just keep in mind that it does contain domestic violence. I gave it 3.5 stars because I had difficulty connecting with the characters.
