Colleen Hoover has written romance novel after romance novel. In fact, I just reviewed Regretting You, her latest book last week. Verity is a complete departure from her prior books. It is a thriller, and do I mean it is a thriller! Oh my gosh! I dropped everything I was supposed to do to finish this book!
The novel is about Lowen Ashley, a young writer, who is offered the deal of a lifetime to finish three books in a series written by bestselling author, Verity Crawford, after she was in a devastating auto accident. Lowen is invited to the Crawford home by Jeremy, Verity’s husband, to go through his wife’s notes and outlines to help her complete the series. Lowen stumbles upon Verity’s unfinished autobiography, which is chilling, to say the least. Things start to get creepy at the house, but Lowen continues to stay there and work.
