Hoping everyone had a great weekend!! Today I’m sharing my last, now, next reads!
LAST—I’ve been so excited to read One to Watch, Kate Stayman-London’s debut novel. It is a Book of the Month selection and a Spivey’s Club selection, too! It is a romance novel about plus-sized model Bea Schumacher. She is approached to do the Main Squeeze show, a reality show that resembles The Bachelor/The Bachelorette. I finished the book over the weekend and LOVED it. I will be reviewing it this week.
NOW—I started reading Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland. It is the Barnes & Noble Book Club selection for July. It is set in Atlantic City, 1934 and is about three generations of the Adler family. It is Ms. Beanland’s debut novel, and I am really enjoying it so far!
NEXT—My next read will be Big Friendship: How We Keep Each Other Close. It is by Aminatou Sow and Ann Friedman, the hosts of the podcast Call Your Girlfriend. It is a Spivey’s Club pick for July. The quote on the inside front cover says, “A close friendship is one of the most influential and important relationships a human life can contain. Anyone will tell you that! But most people don’t talk about what it takes to stay friends for the long-haul.” I can hardly wait to crack this book open to read!
