I had so much fun this afternoon sampling the wine, cheese, and chocolates for you from Aldi’s Advent Calendars. This was basically my lunch! Don’t worry, I did not drink all of that wine! I drank a little of each bottle. The leftover wine is now in my fridge!
I reviewed the wine, cheese, and chocolate from each day on a 5 star scale, with one star being the lowest rating and 5 starts being the highest.
Day One
Wine: Rosé Brut—Sparkling wine with hints of red fruits and herbs! Pairs well with appetizers and salad ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cheese: Red Leicester—Nice tang! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chocolate: Latte Macchiato Truffle—OMG! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Day Two
Wine: Sauvignon Blanc—Chilean wine, Light tropical flavors! Pairs well with chicken and shellfish

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cheese: Gouda—Semi-hard, Nutty, sweet and dense! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chocolate: Mascarpone Truffle—Need I say more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Day Three
Wine: Merlot Rosé—French wine, Very refreshing! Pairs well with salads and fish ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cheese: Aged Cheddar—Creamy!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chocolate: Creme Brûlée Truffle—Out of this world!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Day Four
Wine: Terpranillo—Spanish wine, Very Mellow! Pairs well with cold meat, chicken ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cheese: Aged Cheddar (Same as Day 3)
Chocolate: Mousse with Nougat Chocolate—If you love chocolate, this is for you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Day Five
Wine: Chardonnay—Australian, Tropical fruit flavors with peach and melon, Refreshing! Pairs well with chicken and creamy pasta ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cheese: Herbed Gouda—Very flavorful, Loved the addition of herbs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chocolate: Cappuccino Truffle—Do you like cappuccino? Then you will love this chocolate! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have always heard great feedback about the Aldi Advent Calendars. I am very glad that I tried them! They are perfect for a party (you could do all the days at once) or for couples, the wine, cheese, and chocolates could be shared daily. However, I’m not too keen on sharing the chocolates! They are all fantastic.
As far as Days 1-5 of the Dog Treats Advent Calendar, there are a lot of repeats. Milo gobbled up each day in one second. So, I give them all 5 stars. Oops, I mean 5 paws! 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
