I was excited to read Regretting You by Colleen Hoover. It is the Spivey’s Club Discussion Group pick of the month for January. I have read three other books by Ms. Hoover, It Ends With Us, November 9, and All Your Perfects. I have enjoyed all of these books. I read the Kindle version of Regretting You. It is also in paperback, in audiobook form on Audible, on CD format, and is free to subscribers of Kindle Unlimited right now.
This book explores the themes of grief, betrayal, mother-daughter relationships, and romance. This book is best read as unspoiled as possible. Clara Grant and her mother, Morgan, have a difficult relationship. Morgan is determined that Clara not make the same mistakes that she did in high school. Then an unexpected event shatters both of them. The book focuses on how Morgan and Clara rebuild their lives. You will love their story, and if there could be a perfect ending, this one comes pretty close to being just that!
