Book Review—Awkward by Gurpreet Kaur

When the main character in a book is named Awkward, you know that the book is going to be a bit different from most of the books you read.  Awkward by Gurpreet Kaur, for me, ended up being a short, delightful read that can definitely boost your mood.  Awkward is a 17-year-old girl who is making her way through life, but keeps getting into situations that are, well, awkward.  Some of my favorite parts of the book are the frog story (Hilarious!) and the break-up aftermath story (Who’s this?).  The great part of Awkward is that I think everyone can relate to at least one of the scenarios.  There is even a little romance thrown in when Awkward meets Extrovert.   The drawings add to the comical nature and simplicity of the book.

If you want a book that will lift your spirits and can be read in an hour, then Awkward is the book for you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
