This is just an example of the wisdom contained in The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and the Horse by Charles Mackesy. This beautifully written graphic novel is simple in form, but full of inspiration. It was selected as Barnes & Noble’s 2019 Book of the Year, and I can see why. This book was obviously written before 2020, but is so appropriate for these times. It conveys kindness, friendship, and hope. The illustrations are perfect for this special book. This timeless novel can be read quite quickly, but you will probably want to read it again. It is a perfect gift for friends, too. Have some tissue nearby. You may just tear up unexpectedly. I highly recommend The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse.
