Slow Cooker Olive Garden Pasta

My sister has been staying with me throughout the pandemic, so we have been cooking together. She found Slow Cooker Olive Garden Chicken Pasta on The Magical Slow Cooker website. It is delicious and so, so simple to make.  It is basically chicken cooked with Olive Garden Italian dressing, Parmesan and cream cheese. Pasta is added at the end. So in just a few hours you have a great dinner!

Slow Cooker Olive Garden Chicken Pasta—8 Servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 4 hours

Ingredients:
  • 1-1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast (2 pounds works, too)
  • 16 oz. Olive Garden Italian dressing (or any Italian dressing you like)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 oz. cream cheese (We used the 1/3 less fat cream cheese)
Add these ingredients after cooking time is finished:
  • 16 oz. of penne pasta according to package directions and drain well (We used gluten free pasta)
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  1. Add the chicken breast to the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the Olive Garden Italian dressing over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and pepper on top of the chicken and dressing.
  4. Place the block of cream cheese on top.
  5. Place the lid on the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.
  6. When the cooking time is almost done, start cooking the pasta on the stove top as directed on the package.
  7. Shred the chicken with 2 forks. Drain the pasta and add to the chicken and sauce. Stir. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Serve and Enjoy!
Wow! How easy and delicious! What a nice warm meal to come home to after work or like us, after being home all day! A side salad or broccoli would be great accompaniments to this meal. I hope you will try Slow Cooker Olive Garden Pasta.
