If you want to read a delightful novel that is uplifting, The Magic of the Lemon Drop by Rachel Linden is most likely a book you would enjoy. Main character Lolly Blanchard runs her family’s diner. One of her tasks is to bake many lemon meringue pies, a diner favorite, each morning. Lolly takes care of everyone and everything and is beginning to have many regrets when it comes to meeting her personal life goals. With a little magic, Lolly starts to tackle her regrets in hopes of a more satisfying future.
I loved the magical realism in this book and Lolly’s quirky Great-Aunt Gert. This novel is about selflessness and second chances. Included is a recipe for Lemon Drop Meringue Pie, which I need to make! Enjoy!
