With spring and summer around the corner, The Summer of the Songbirds by Kristy Woodson Harvey would be a great addition to your reading list. June owns Camp Holly Spring, a girl’s summer camp. Her niece, Daphne meets her two best friends, Lanier and Mary Stuart at camp, and they become lifelong friends. Even with all of the girls’ ups and downs through the years, when June is in jeopardy of losing Camp Holly Spring, the friends unite to help her save the camp.
This is such a good book to get lost in at the beach, the pool or lakeside. Enjoy!
