When I first heard about the book, James, I thought it was a genius idea for a book. James is the retelling of the classic book, Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, from the point of view of James/Jim. I listened to the audiobook, expertly narrated by Dominic Hoffman. I read Huckleberry Finn in college and as I listened to James, the story of Huckleberry Finn came back to me. Percival Everett has written an outstanding book that I think would make Mark Twain proud. I highly recommend you read James.
